Did you know that consuming game meats is good for the environment? Consuming abundant and sustainable game meats such as wild boar is a conscientious choice that can help maintain ecosystems and protect the environment by reducing the amount of livestock animals being consumed. I will post the recipe below.

Prepare your favorite pie dough 🥧.

Filling:

  1. Sauté half of a white onion and two garlic cloves in olive oil.

  2. Add 2 finely chopped carrots and 3 stalks of celery. Sauté until glossy.

  3. Add 1 pound of ground boar and sauté until all residual water has evaporated.

  4. Add a shot glass of Guiness stout beer.

  5. Add 1/2 pound of chopped mushrooms. Stir until the mushrooms are glossy.

  6. Add 1 teaspoon of roasted beef bouillon (we used “Better than Bouillon”). Season with pepper and salt as desired.

  7. Add 2 tablespoons of freshly chopped thyme.

  8. Dissolve 1 teaspoon of flour in 2 tablespoons of water. Combine the water/flour mixture with the filling until the sauce thickens.

  9. Add a tablespoon of cold butter.

  10. Fill your pie crust with the filling, decorate, and bake at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes.
