About Franzi

Welcome, friends!

Growing up in the foothills of the Bavarian Alps, I was exposed to a Rudolf Steiner inspired pedagogy from an early age on. Some of my most vivid childhood memories include foraging for berries, herbs and mushrooms, acting out fairytales amongst the ruins of medieval castles, and spending many cold winter days crafting by the fireplace. Based on my upbringing and education, I have always believed that establishing a healthy and holistic home environment is critical in allowing children to freely explore the world around them. In accordance with my passion for a Waldorf inspired education, I am a credentialed secondary science teacher and hold a Masters of Education degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara. I am also a mother to two wonderful children, an artist, and a wife to my loving husband, Matt (@waldorfdads). In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, I decided to start this website as well as an associated Instagram account (@my_seasonal_treasury) to share my passion for holistic learning with other like-minded women. My hope is to inspire other women and mothers by providing positive outlets as well as wholesome recipes. Franzi and Matt are also contributors to the Simple Living Collective.
