This moist and delicious chocolate cake surprises with hints of cinnamon and cayenne.
Ingredients:
1 stick unsalted butter
0.5 cups dark cocoa powder
1.5 cups cane sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour
3 eggs
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
A dash of salt
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Butter a 9-inch springform cake pan and line with a round piece of baking paper.
Melt the butter in a saucepan and set aside.
Whisk in the flour, sugar, cocoa, cinnamon, cayenne, and vanilla.
Transfer mixture to a stand mixer and whisk in 3 eggs. Mix for approximately 3 minutes.
Pour the mixture into the cake pan.
Bake for 20-25 minutes (I did 22 minutes in my oven).
Once baked, let the cake cool down for at least 30 minutes. Carefully, transfer your cake to a plate. Dust with powdered sugar OR a mixture of cinnamon, cane sugar, and cayenne.
