Caterpillar Bread Rolls

This bread roll caterpillar is super easy to make and the rolls are the perfect combination of sweet and savory.


Oatmeal Caterpillar rolls:

  1. Pour two cups of boiling water over one cup of oats. Cool to room temperature.

  2. Add 3 T of avocado oil, 1 package of yeast softened in 1/3 cup of warm water, 2/3 cups of brown sugar, and a pinch of salt.

  3. Add 4 cups of whole wheat flour and 1 cup of almond flour. Knead and let rise until doubled.

  4. Punch down and let rise again.

  5. Use your hands to create desired shape. Let rise again and add sesame, poppy seeds, caraway, coriander, raisins, etc.

  6. Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 minutes.
