Crayon Resist Art

Updated: Dec 31, 2020

This easy art project is appropriate for even the smallest artists.

Materials:

- Watercolor paper

- Wet cloth

- Brushes

- Watercolor set (I used Prang Oval)

- White crayon

- Cookie cutters

Instructions:

  1. Using a white crayon, trace cookie cutters onto a sheet of watercolor paper.

  2. Use a wet cloth to thoroughly moisten the paper.

  3. Using brushes and a set of watercolors, add color to your wet paper.

  4. Watch as the colors melt together leaving the white silhouettes behind.

  5. Let dry for at least 30 minutes.
